SUMMARY:41st Annual Falcon National Meet (Cancelled)
DESCRIPTION:THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED. \nAfter much careful deliberation\, the Ohio Valley Chapter and the Falcon Club of America leadership have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Falcon Nationals. We believe this is the responsible action to take in order to keep everyone safe during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The health and safety of our participants\, \nvolunteers\, sponsors\, spectators\, staff and host hotel employees remains our top priority. The unknown elements of this pandemic have made it impossible to predict when large gatherings will once again be permitted. At this time every state has it’s own rules in place on said gatherings while imposing additional rules concerning self-quarantine requirements after traveling out of one’s home state. No one can predict when these rules will be modified\, much less lifted. Also\, because of the social distancing limitations put in place by the CDC and the State of Ohio our volunteer committees have been unable to get together to continue working on this year’s event putting us behind in the planning and preparation process. We know this news is very disappointing\, and having put the last year and a half into working to make this event a memorable one\, we feel the same\, but in our hearts we know that this action is for the best. By making the decision to announce the event cancellation now\, we hope that our participants will be able to cancel or change their travel plans with minimal impact.
